Pro-Vac’s Hydro-Excavation Team uses pressurized water and industrial vacuums to break up and remove soil/sediments. Hydro-Excavation ultimately lowers the risk of underground utility damage. Hydro-Excavation is a safe, environmentally friendly method of digging around underground utilities. Hydro-excavation is traditionally used for exposing utilities, potholing, trenching, and more.
Pro-Vac can surgically pinpoint exactly where your utility damage issues are by safely exposing utilities and without damaging roots of trees.
The process uses high-pressure water to break up soil and rocks, and an industrial vacuum to remove all the material. All material is contained in the barrel on the truck awaiting transport, making it the preferred excavation method in urban areas.
Hydro-Excavation significantly lowers the risk of underground utility damage as opposed to traditional excavators that use large metal buckets. Because Hydro-Excavation does not require a staging area or dump trucks, it can be performed in condensed urban areas, and in most cases, without trench entry.
Hydro-Excavation is environmentally friendly. Precision soil cutting reduces ground disturbance, and since only water (not an excavating bucket) is used to break up soil, it preserves the roots of trees and plant life.
Water/air and vacuum are the only external elements used when excavating, which eliminates the risk of introducing toxic substances to the area.
